Uploading a Story

Find the Person

To Upload a Story, you will first need to find the person on FamilySearch.org. There are a few ways to do this.

If they are a direct ancestor, you can use your family tree to navigate to them.

1. Go to familysearch.org > Family Tree > Tree

2. Expand your tree as needed using the "^" arrows at the end of any line.

3. When you find the person, click on them

4. Click the "memories" link on their pop up

Upload the Story

On the person's page, go to memories

• If the story is a document (image, pdf, word document, or audio file) select upload and continue as directed

• If you are writing a story from your own memory or experience, select create story then fill in the details as directed.
